Cancellation Notice (CODIV-19) - BC Youth Chess Championship

  BC Youth Chess Championship is Cancelled Due to CODIV-19  

  Full refund on or before Sunday March 15 to Registered Players  

Dear players and parents, Due to the late development of the CODIV-19 beyond our control which may impact the health of attendees, it is with regret that Chess2Inspire issues a cancellation notice of the BC Youth Chess Championship scheduled on: March 14-15, 2020.

 

All pre-registered attendees will be receiving a 100% refund on or before Sunday March 15, 2020. You will receive a refund confirmation email on or before March 15, 2020, send to the email address you specified when you registered (your email address can also be found on the Eventbrite ticket you received). If you do not see the refund confirmation email in your "In" folder, please try to look for it in the "Junk" folder.

 

Chess Federation of Canada has removed the qualification requirements for the 2020 Canadian Youth Chess Championship (CYCC). That is, all players can register and play in the 2020 CYCC. See the official announcement dated March 13, 2020 below:

 

Dear Chess Communities and provincial coordinators,
In the light of the current Covid-19 outbreak and government directives, CFC will cancel the qualification requirements for 2020 CYCC for all.  Players can register into CYCC directly.

It is an uncertain time and we urge everyone to remain calm and follow recommendations from the health and government authorities.  Please watch CFC website for future announcements and updates
