Format: Top two available BC players from each grade, grades K-12, compete against the top two WA players from the same grades
Time Control & Rating: G90+30 seconds increment, Two Games, CFC Rules, Unrated
Recording: Required, score sheets provided, please bring your own pen
Awards: Rotating Team Trophy engraved with the winning state/province for the year
Entry Fee: FREE, by invitation - it is an honor to represent your province or state in this international match
Food: Free light lunch + bottled Water (players and parents, assuming 1 parent per player)
Miscellaneous: Commemorative team wear will be supplied by Team BC to all the players, CFC rules apply
Tentative Schedule:

9:30am Check-in, Pickup team wear, Team Photos, Opening Speech and Tournament Rules Announcement
10:00am Round 1
1:30pm Lunch
2:30pm Round 2 (players finished late in round 1 may start round 2 a bit late with TD approval)

Eligibility rules for Team BC player selection

The Intermat Organizing Committee ("Committee") has the absolute authority on the selection and forming of the Intermat BC Team, in general the Committee will follow the guidelines below.

1. Team BC players are made up of 2 players from each grade from Kindergarten to Grade 12 for a total of 26 players.
2. The Champions (1st Place after tie-break) of grades K-12 of B.C. Provincial Chess Challenge will be representing B.C. to play on Board 1. If the Champion declines the invitation, both players of that grade will be selected according to guild-line 3.
3. The highest CFC rated player of grades K-12 as of Feb 29, 2016 will be representing B.C. to play on Board 2.
4. Team BC players must reside in BC.
5. The Committee has the authority to allow players from younger grades to fill spots in the older sections based on rating, merit, and contribution to the BC chess community.
